I tried to summarize some of my Recurse Center activities for the last 12 weeks in a blog post and still probably forgot some stuff because it was jam packed with amazing people, pairing, projects, and study groups.

Today - I started working on a game called Lost Signal as part of a recurse center game jam.

It will mostly be a short story - but I hope to do it with html/css only

I hope to have it done tomorrow - we'll see :)

Sounds interesting as a retreat. Anyone went there already? I'm curious about the experience.

I got accepted to the Recurse Center, a programmer retreat!! So happy to have the chance to grow and learn alongside other smart, kind, motivated devs.

Will be going to the US for ~3 months early next year in the NYC area! Can't wait!!

Last October I left Brilliant.org to do a batch at #RecurseCenter, and am looking toward what’s next. I think of myself as a web software engineer, but I've also researched, taught, and product managed.

Near term, I'm interested in part-time/contract work. I like weird (writing compilers in Typescript), niche (using CodeMirror in browser-based editors), and normal (I know my way around both ancient and modern React). My Recurse project (https://dusa.rocks) demonstrates all these!

Today I am returning to spend 6 weeks (a half batch) as a participant at the Recurse Center (RC) @recursecenter

I've been trying to figure out what is next for me since leaving my PhD and think spending some time in community with self-directed learning will help

I also aim to share a bit about what I'm upto during my time, and have resurrected a blog, including some old tech related posts.
