Another week, another #ScreenshotSaturday for our indie dev friends to share what we've all been working on: do let us know!
And here we have a mini guessing game for identification of potions. There are negative potions as well, luckily we can't go wrong with this one :)
NEW INTRODUCTION! After 3 years, some of my interests pivoted and some are just not on fedi.
I'm a one man company that mostly does 2D computer animation but I also do interactive writing and co-creating the first ever video game completely about larp!

Just some screenshots from the current game version. The first one does show the console, listing all the special upgrades available right now in the game.
The second one does show the special modifier selection screen. You can also see the new "more information" system where you can click on terms to get more information about it.
The stars are coming right, the time of the Great Old Ones begins again.

Implemented some features in #OpenCrystalCaves including the triceratops and this roly poly thing which sleeps occasionally
But what I'm really happy about is refactoring some of the loops so that the programs no longer burn my lap

Nerual is done! he was fun but hard to write. The fact he "cheats" exposed a few bugs in the engine. Nevertheless, I'm rather happy with how he performs.
I added an 8px random on his "magic line", otherwise serving at max delta-Y was always succeeding or always failing, which was frustrating.
Been fixing a ton of bugs lately, and making grass grow & spread much faster helped a lot (with stuff like grass growing on a build site that has resources being delivered to it, etc).
Interestingly, the grass spread is random but the spread rules (can't have two adjacent grass entities) force it to converge to a close-to-optimal packing
Here's one level finished!
With every level I gained some experience, what works, what doesn't, items must not be confused with each other, color is not a good way to difference them because of colorblindness, sometimes translation can be tricky, and so on...
