How up-to-date is road data in #OpenStreetMap?

This map shows the recency (“currentness”) of edits to #OSM road data in urban centers around the world.

Currentness is a crucial factor in determining data quality. Higher values suggest more up-to-date areas, while lower values may indicate less reliable information.
